Sunset Family Photo Session in Georgetown, TX

As a Georgetown Texas Photographer, I could not rave more about a golden hour session at Blue Hole Park. The light reflecting off the water and the gorgeous limestone cliffs create the perfect setting for some fun family photos in Georgetown. This recent session with a sweet family of six—Mom, Dad, two little boys, and two little girls—was no exception!

Coordinating Family Outfits

In addition to the beautiful scenery, the family’s outfit choices were absolutely perfect! With a beautifully coordinated mix of navy blues, deep greens, beige, and warm browns, the fall vibes were all around us. In my complimentary style guide, I recommend to my clients to choose simple color palettes such as creams, blush tones, or even all white, to ensure a timeless, light and airy look. This mom sure nailed this down!

How to Get your Kids to Smile in Family Photos

One of my favorite things about this session was how playful it was. I believe posed family portraits definitely have their place in any portrait session. Yet, I also think there’s so much more they simply can’t capture. Just imagine your kids playing tickle fights, jumping, and just having fun…That’s what leads to the best smiles! So, if you are ever worried about your kids not smiling in your photos, there is a simple recipe to follow: let them be them! This is how we’ll create real, candid moments that tell the true story of your family.
