So glad you're here! I'm Lydia, full-time mommy to Libby and Kate, wife to Ian, HR professional Monday through Friday, and your Austin newborn photographer on the weekend.
Life is busy these days, yet I found in photography an outlet that allows me to pair my creativity with my love for people -especially tiny humans - and their families.
Originally born and raised in Brittany, France, I made Austin, TX my home in 2013. In 2016, my husband and I welcomed our first daughter, later followed by her little sister in 2022. Becoming a mom is what made me pick up a camera in the first place. I wanted to remember - from the long and exhausting nights of the newborn stage, to the chaos of toddlerhood, and all the snuggles in between.
And I believe you deserve to remember it too.

Session day is here! You will receive a calendar invite from me prior to your session, including location details so you know exactly where to find me. Should we need to reschedule the session due to bad weather, you'll receive notice at least 24 hours prior. Please plan for your session to take about 60 to 90 minutes from start to finish (2 hours for a newborn session).

Two to three weeks after your session, we will meet again for your reveal and ordering appointment. During that time, we'll review your proof gallery and choose your favorite images from your session.
Once your final choices are made, each image will be master retouched. Your final gallery of high-resolution images will be available for download within 1 week.

The sooner the better! My weekends fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a retainer/session fee. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. And that is completely normal!
As the session goes on and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be a fun experience. And don't worry about your kids. With a toddler of my own, I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
If it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when we're scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within 2 to 3 weeks of your session, I will be in touch via email to schedule your reveal and ordering appointment.
During that time, we'll go through your proof gallery, image by image, and I'll help you choose your favorites. This is also when we will design any custom artwork you'd love for your home. Your beautiful heirlooms will be delivered to your home within 4 to 6 weeks while your digital gallery will be ready within 48 hours of our reveal appointment.
