I still remember a little tradition from my childhood. Almost every weekend, my dad would pull out the old film strip projector, and we’d gather as a family to watch the past flicker to life on our living room wall. There were photographs of my parents on their wedding day, my mom expecting my sister, our first family vacation. 

I studied those images of moments I was too young to remember—or never got to witness at all. Yet through those photographs, I felt as though I was there. I could see the love, hear the laughter, feel the heartbeat of our family’s story.

Those evenings were simple, but they were sacred. Just us, together, remembering who we were and how we came to be.
